It’s easy to say something, it’s the follow through that’s generally the tough part. I guess that’s why something like 8% of people actually keep their New Year’s resolutions.
In the last
episode post, I wrote a lot about getting out there and putting in the work. It’s been 4 days since, and I really hadn’t made good on those commitments. I thought a lot about photography, I looked at others photography, I talked about photography, I watched some videos about photography, but I didn’t actually do any photography. There was no follow through.
We got some snow yesterday. The kind of snow that just lingers around and collects on trees and everything else because there was nearly no wind either. The perfect day photography day you wait for. I was working during the day, but the evening was still available. So I took the (extra long) commute home, made some supper, shoveled the driveway and proceeded to play on my phone.
Fortunately, I hit up socials and was promptly shamed into remembering my commitment after seeing the fantastic imagery from TJ, Shaun, and Jerry. It was late, everyone at home was asleep, so I picked up my gear, put on my boots and started to make good on the follow through.
